2012 (2009)

| |

A day late for the Monday Movie, so I'll make up for it with a drinking game to go along with this pick.  It will help.  Trust me.

I've played with these rules three times and since the film is 158 minutes long, I say drink one shot of beer for each of the following rules.  If you drink anything stronger, No Agenda Films can not be held accountable for any drunk donating that happens.

One drink anytime...
1. Science confirms something.
2. A famous landmark and/or city is destroyed.
3. Someone physically runs from nature. (ex. "That earthquake is coming right for us!")
4. A pet is in jeopardy.
5. A sub-plot features a racial/cultural stereotype. (ex. the Indian scientists, the nerdy researcher, unemployed writer working part time job...)
6. Someone goes back to get someone.
7. There is a joke about an event that happens between 2009 and 2012.
8. Any character talks about counting down (to anything).
9. Woody Harrelson makes you think of Adam Curry.
10. Anyone slowly backs away from the camera in terrified awe.
11. Anyone watching the film with you says "What!?" out loud, that person has to finish their drink.

Actually, you can probably get drunk with just the trailer:

You have to love a trailer that not only includes every money shot in the film, but also ends with the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier slamming into the white house.  Why does Roland Emmerich hate the white house so much?
